Location
It is a country in Southeast Asia and Oceania, between the Indian and Pacific oceans. It consists of more than seventeen thousand islands.
Indonesia's border neighbors are East Timor, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea.

Reason Of Naming
The name Indonesia derives from the Greek "Indos", and "nesos", which means "Indian islands". In 1850, George Windsor Earl, an English ethnologist, proposed the terms Indonesians and, his preference, Malayunesians—for the inhabitants of the "Indian Archipelago or Malayan Archipelago.
Flag
The flag of Indonesia was adopted on 17 August 1945 after gaining independence. The flag consists of two horizontal stripes, where the top one is red and the bottom stripe is white. Several opinions have been expressed on the meaning of Indonesian flag colors.
One opinion is that red stands for courage, while white stands for purity.
Another opinion is that red represents the human body or physical life,
while white represents the soul or spiritual life. Together they stand for a complete human being.

Language
There are an estimated 700 languages used in Indonesia, most of which are Austronesian languages. The official language is the Indonesian language as indicated in the Indonesian Constitution, the Indonesian language is the most widely used language in the country and is used in all formal communication, particularly in media, administration, and commerce. However, there are other main languages used in the country such as Javanese and Sundanese which have millions of native speakers.
Religion
The government officially recognizes only six religions: Islam, Protestantism, Roman Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism; with indigenous religions only partly acknowledged.
Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim-majority country with the majority being Sunnis.

Climate
The climate of Indonesia is almost equatorial, hot, humid, and rainy throughout the year. In some areas, there is a dry season, as usually happens in hot countries, the rains occur in the form of downpours or thunderstorms, which sometimes can cause flooding.
The temperature is stable, with lows around 22/25 °C and highs around 30/32 °C all year round.
The best time to visit Indonesia is from June to September.
