The flag of Kuwait was adopted on September 7, 1961, and officially
raised on November 24, 1961.
It consists of three horizontal stripes of green, white and red; with a black trapezium based on the hoist side.
The Red color represents the Hashemite dynasty, which symbolizes the blood on the swords of Arab warriors, and the White color represents the Umayyad dynasty, which symbolizes purity, and noble deeds, the Green color represents the Fatimid dynasty, which represents the fertile land of Arabia, and the black color represents The Abbasid dynasty, representing the defeat of enemies in battle.
Language
Although Modern Standard Arabic is the official language of Kuwait, Kuwaiti Arabic is the preferred language for daily life in the country. Because Kuwait is an Arab country, Arabic is the predominant language.
The country has a large immigrant population, mainly from Asia, who speak English in addition to their original languages.
In Kuwait, Modern Standard Arabic is mostly used in education and journalism.
English is an important part of Kuwait's educational curriculum. It is taught alongside Arabic in the country's schools, English is widely understood in Kuwait, and it is used in business. The majority of Kuwait's road signs, as well as most restaurant and shop signs, are in English and Arabic. There are also various English-language television and radio broadcasts in Kuwait. French is only used as a language of education for students studying humanities for two years.
Religion
A vast majority of Kuwait’s population practices Islam, which is the country's official religion.
Most of Kuwait’s Muslims adhere to Sunni Islam, although there is also a small but significant Shia Muslim community.
There is a small group of the population that follows Christianity, while the rest of the population, especially ex-pats from foreign countries, follow other religions or do not claim affiliation with any particular religion.
The followers of these other religions include Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Bahá'ís.

Climate
In Kuwait, there's a subtropical desert climate, with mild winters and very hot summers. The sun usually shines all year round. Winter is warm from December to February, with an average temperature of 13.5 °C in January. Nights are cold, average 8/10 °C, but sometimes temperatures can drop below 0 °C. In winter, the sun often shines, but some cloudy days are also possible, maybe with some rain. Summer in Kuwait is extremely hot and windy; the wind comes from the interior, therefore the sea's impact is minor. From June to August, the temperature typically ranges between 45/46 °C during the day and 29/30 °C at night. High temperatures have been recorded at 52/53 °C.
The best time to visit Kuwait is from mid-November to mid-March. In winter, from December to February, it can sometimes get cold at night, and there can be some rain, but at least, you avoid the scorching heat.
In early November and late March, it can sometimes get hot. However, the heat in Kuwait is almost always torrid, ie dry, so it is more bearable than in other countries of the Persian Gulf; it's important to drink a lot and to be protected from the sun.
